Real Techniques Everyday Essentials VoxBox

It seems like Influenster always knows when I need something, because just when I had been talking to a friend about my makeup brushes not doing the job right, I get an email a week later saying I was approved for this Real Techniques campaign. Coincidence? I dunno. What do you think, NSA agent listening in through my cell phone?

The point is, I got 4 new makeup brushes and a blending sponge complimentary from Influenster. The following review is my own honest opinion and in my own words.

Just a quick pop-in for Halloween! This year is pretty low-key. The area of our neighborhood gets no trick-or-treaters (despite our lights and candy bowls) so we're keeping it really low-key. I couldn't resist the temptation to dress up, and decided to channel a gender-bent Beetlejuice vibe!

We’ve returned to hot weather here in Georgia, despite the blissful chilly snap we had for the past couple of days. I’ve already begun my Fall Transformation, though, and since it’s nearing Halloween I wanted to wear something a little “darker” than I’d usually choose. Even so, I just had to go with an iced coffee (because it’s hot and I’m weak.)

Love is full of clichés, and there's nothing wrong with that. He really does know me better than I know myself. He is my light, my best friend, my home. He gives me butterflies and drives me absolutely insane, sometimes at the same time.

I could prattle on forever with quotes from literature or movies about love and how profound it is. I could compare our love to that of the greats, the idols of romantic relationships, but none of that really seems accurate.

I was recently sent samples of some of LimeLight by Alcone's skincare line by the lovely Jayne of jaynemicaela.com to try out. Now lately I've heard a lot of great things about LimeLight, so I was excited to get to try some of their product for myself!

What I Wore: Pretty In Pink

 I've been on such a pink kick lately it's insane. I just LOVE this top and when I saw these shoes on sale at Modcloth AND got a 40% off + free shipping coupon in the mail, I HAD to jump on it (I ended up only paying $21.99 total for the shoes!)

Pinup Inspired

I'm digging into pre-blog selfies to start off my style posts, but for good reason. On this particular day, my friend Adri came over to do my makeup. She wanted to do a pinup- inspired look.

 

What I Wore: 2017 Cavalry Ball

I'm a little late in posting this, but didn't start the blog until after the ball last month. It was the Mr. and I's first military ball, and I absolutely loved my dress. I found it at Ross for $24! Can't really complain about that, especially with how perfect it was.
